My new class with Brooklyn Craft Company is on for Saturday, April 25: Pixelated Portrait Painting. We’ll work in grayscale, to explore mixing tones and build your painting “pixel by pixel” using a grid. (A grid is a great way to scale an image up as well as help with rendering to capture likeness.) Work with the black and white photo of your choice: anything with a full range of tones will work well. It can be a portrait, a pet, or anything you want to stare at for a few hours.
